Challenge Your Creativity at Dyxum

December 2015… Almost end of a year and almost year since my last post. And what a year it was… I had to sell most of my photo gear and was left with analog cameras only. I’ve been shooting on film, but all rolls are still in my fridge – undeveloped – so there was no chance to post something, perhaps except few phone shots (and I’m not a fan of using phone as camera) :-) I just bought two cameras for my old manual lenses and now I’m back ;-)

It was very fortunate moment to get back to shooting. There are three challenges at Dyxum in December in which I participate. First one – “Challenge Your Creativity” – has just ended and you’ll find my results below. Every participant had to choose one item and shoot it every day for a week. I’ve chosen yellow golf ball and tried my best to come out with something interesting on each day. Was I successfull? I think so. Even if results aren’t good I had great time and I’m already looking forward for next challenge. Week 50 begins on monday and this means yet another “Back to the 50s” week long shooting. Additionally I’m still shooting film for “Film Challenge 2015” which will end on January 31st 2016 :-)

Ok, here are the photos…

Day 1

It wasn’t week 50 but I’ve already been using my Rokkor 58/1.4 most of the time. I simply love this lens for its bokeh and sharpness. It’s a great performer and works well with extension tubes for close-up shots.

Day 4

I couldn’t resist and had to shoot something with my dogs. They were both very interested in golf ball. Here is my westie. Yorkie will appear on Day 7 shots.

Day 5

The challenge was about creativity and I was out of ideas on Day 5. I just took few towels from bathroom, two paper towels from kitchen and created this…

Day 6

I’ve never shot water splashes before so decided to try it. Note: glass didn’t survive, it broke after being hit with ball during one of drops :-)

Day 7

Last day of challenge so I had to shoot something with my yorkie. Didn’t have much time though so these are far from what they could’ve been with proper setup and more work with the model ;-)

May I have it? Pleeeease!
