This picture wasn’t at all pleasing straight from camera, but I thought it was good material for B&W conversion. My first idea was to create regular B&W and give it more “punch” by playing with contrast and levels. While I was working on it I tried “old photo look” treatment and was quite pleased with result. However image still didn’t have enough “punch” I ended up with idea to create “old photo look” showing extremly dirty, oily and rusty mix of steel and wood. I hope you’ll like it.

A bit industrial

Winter landscapes

Finally! After weeks of gloomy weather with fog, snow and severe overcast today sun was shining the whole day long. Lucky for me its weekend and I had time to take my cameras for a walk. It was pretty cold (-12 degrees celsius) but who cares

Fog hasn’t entirely disappeared and was settling down over Slopnice village.

Three castles

Today I’ve chosen photos of three different castles to share with you. I must say that they aren’t as good as they could. First two were taken during my very first trip with Sony a200 DSLR on June 2008. Back then I was more than total beginner and if I managed to get some good shots it was pure luck. Third picture was taken on March 2009 as sample shot after buying Tamron 200-400mm lens so it isn’t anything special either. I just wanted to share these places with you no matter if photos are technically good or bad. Hope you’ll like them.

#1 Czorsztyn Castle. I’ve already posted one shot of it 3 months ago and I’ll probably keep posting them at least once per year. I’m visiting Czorsztyn and Niedzica every summer, but I don’t take lots of shots during these trips (or it would be pointless to visit them next year )

#2 Niedzica Castle. Its clearly visible that some parts were completly reconstructed. Those aren’t ruins anymore…

#3 Rytro Castle. About 30 kilometers from my home yet I’ve never had time to visit it. Maybe because from outside it doesn’t look as promising as previous two castles.

Colors of Fall

I know it’s been two months since my last post, but I just have too much work and problems these days Of course I have to do something besides working or I’d go nuts so I’m taking my camera for some short walks from time to time. These photos were taken during few days when trees had wonderful colors. Shortly after I took them we had nothing but clouds and rain for over two weeks.
